Do you want a fun way to connect with other Girl Scouts throughout the USA? Do you like receiving letters in the mail? Then join the GSGATL Pen Pal Program today!

During the GSGATL Pen Pal Program, participants will be placed in pen pal pods by their Girl Scout level. A pen pal pod is a group of Girl Scouts who write letters to each other and get to know each other. This is the perfect way to make fun Girl Scout friends in our Georgia council and beyond, and receive many cool letters in the mail!

Participants will also receive special letters from members of the GSGATL staff and a few fun patches.

Your registration includes:

  • A kit about the pen pal pod program and information about the other Girl Scouts in your pod.
  • The material needed to send out the first round of letters to the other Girl Scouts in your pen pal pod.
  • A fun patch at the end of the experience

As a participant you are committing to:

  • Send 1 letter a month to each participant in your pod (up to 3 other participants) from October 2024 to February 2025. Send up to 3 letters a month and receive up to 3 letters a month.
  • Provide your own stamps, envelopes, paper, stickers, and other supplies to create and mail these letters.
  • Allow your mailing address to be shared with up to 4 other Girl Scouts so they can send you letters.

The pen pal program will run from October 2024 to February 2025. After the conclusion of the program, all participants will receive a fun patch.  Kits will be mailed the week of October 21, 2024.  This program is available to all Girl Scouts in all levels!

Registration ends September 18, 2024. There is a limit to the number of participants. Register today!  Please note this is a self-guided activity and will not be accompanied by a workshop.

Girl Scouts aims to ensure all our programs are affordable!  Use the steps below to apply for financial aid or use cookie dough to pay for your program fees. Please note that the financial aid is only available to Girl Scouts in the Greater Atlanta Council.
