Calling all Juliette Cadettes!! Join us on March 8th from 1:00–3:30 PM at the Mableton Service Center for a workshop where Cadettes will earn their Finding Common Ground badge.
This collaborative Cadette workshop will focus on what finding common ground looks like between peers, especially when opinions, interests, and personalities don’t always match up. Through hands-on activities, movement-based discussions, and creative group challenges, Cadettes will explore active listening, collaborative decision-making, and respectful communication in ways that feel authentic and relevant to their everyday lives.
Girls Scouts will complete all steps of the Cadette Finding Common Ground badge.
They will also:
- Get to know someone new and discover shared interests in unexpected places
- Practice active listening and asking thoughtful questions
- Make group decisions using compromise, consensus, and collaboration
- Explore how differences can strengthen a group rather than divide it
Cadettes will be encouraged to speak up, ask questions, and work through challenges together in a supportive environment. No prior preparation is needed. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to try and learn something new.
There is no pre-work required for this workshop. All badge requirements will be completed during the session.
The cost of the badge is included in the ticket price.
What to Bring
Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay during the workshop. A designated parent lounge will be available for those who choose to remain on-site.
