The Mountain Leadership Institute Session 2: Learning to Facilitate and Teach Girls is the 2nd part of our two part training is for our aspiring Girl Scouts that are interested in volunteering at camp during the school year. We have created 4 training sessions over the course of the year to help young leaders grow in 1) leading programs at camp such as arts and crafts, canoeing, outdoor skills, songs, and much more, 2) teaching these participants to teach young girls. We will explore what makes great leaders, what skills we need, and where our own strengths and weaknesses lie. We take the time to address challenges and grow as a team. This training is designed to be a progression, and in most cases we will ask for you to attend both sessions before you are eligible to apply to be a volunteer at camp. The expectation is that you would attend Session 1 and 2 Prerequisite: Session 1: Finding the Leader in Me and Working with Children and Youth.
This is the second of a two-part course. To be able to apply to be a volunteer you must have also signed up and participated in Session 1: Finding the Leader in Me and Working with Children and Youth (Jan. 14-16, 2022)
