Explore safety and self-defense with Revved Up Kids!  This age-appropriate workshop helps kids to be smart, strong, and safe.

Revved Up Kids Safety Sense for children teaches them about unsafe people and equips them to respond appropriately if they ever meet an unsafe person, including using self-defense if it’s warranted. The program uses age appropriate language and includes the following components:

• Be Smart Awareness Training (Who are unsafe people and what do they do? What are my all-the-time just in case skills?)
• Be Strong Defense Training (What are my emergency just in case skills? Learning and practicing simple, effective self-defense tactics, importance of disclosure)
• Be Safe Review/Reinforcement (Participant Q&A, take home resources, family safety community)

This workshop is for Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts (grades K-3).  Adults may register as chaperones, but will not be participating in activities.  Please note that Safety Sense for Children includes discussion of sexual abuse (age appropriate mention of boundaries regarding private body parts). This program is a part of Body Positivity Saturday:  We're hosting a full day of workshops, sports clinics, and hands-on activities, all highlighting the amazing things your body can do!  Some workshops will feature the new Body Positivity badges (for all Girl Scout levels).
