Race to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for STEM Expo! This year, Girl Scouts are ON THE GO as they explore new STEM topics, find their curiosity, and become inspired to make the world a better place through STEM! Girl Scouts can try out a wide variety of STEM concepts at hands-on activity tables, hosted by program partners. Find out what happens when you put a marshmallow in a vacuum chamber, build your own water filter, and solve a coding puzzle! Jump into a more in-depth experience and earn a badge with an optional workshop. We'll have robots, airplanes, and more! Plus you can check out STEM projects completed by Girl Scouts at the Girl Scout Science Fair.
Your ticket includes admission to all the STEM Expo Activity Tables (hands-on activities), the Girl Scout Science Fair, a custom event fun patch, and lots of unique vehicles to check out and explore. This program is open to Girl Scouts of all ages (K-12th grade, Daisy-Ambassador). Siblings and parents are welcome to join their Girl Scouts! This is a 2-3 hour experience; for a more in-depth experience, you may consider registering for one of our workshops.
Workshops are an optional add-on; not required for a great day of fun! Please note that adults must register for any workshops their Girl Scouts attend (with no additional cost). Lunch will be available for purchase from the Atlanta Motor Speedway, or you are welcome to pack a car picnic or go off-site and return. Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue (but water bottles are welcome). Remember to arrive on-time (before last admission at 2:00 PM), wear a Girl Scout uniform or t-shirt (if you have one) and dress for the weather! The program is rain or shine.
This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents, Troop Leaders, and guardians must remain with their Girl Scouts for the duration of the event, including in any workshops.
Due to the nature of this program, adults need to purchase a ticket for themselves and any additional adults or siblings that will be in attendance. Adults will have an opportunity to engage in the program experience alongside their Girl Scouts, helping to reinforce new concepts, learning, exploration, and development. We encourage you to be ENGAGED, let your GIRL SCOUT take the LEAD, and HAVE FUN!
