DESCRIPTION:Do you love to hike and explore nature? Have you ever wondered what would happen if you got lost on one of those hikes? Join us this weekend to learn about how to be prepared on the trail by learning some of these skills: Shelter Building, Animal Tracking, Compass Use, Water Filtration, Fire Building, and more! We will be outside for much of this weekend, so come prepared to get dirty and learn how to be lost and unafraid! \n  \n  \n Girl Scout Level: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (Grades 4–12) \n  \n  \n  \n Badge Connection: Junior Trail Adventure Camper, Cadette Trail Adventure, and Ambassador Survival Camper \n  \n  \n Girl Fee: $125     Adult Fee: $85 \n  \n  \n  \n Fee Includes: Activities (3 Staff led activities, 1 self-guided activity and a free period), 4 meals (3 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday), all supplies for staff-led and self-guided programs, staffing for activities, cabin housing for the weekend \n  \n  \n  \n Adult training required: Each troop attending must have at least one adult who has completed the Council Sponsored Events Learning Path and First Aid/CPR. \n  \n  \n The Council Sponsored Events Learning Path includes the following training in gsLearn: \n  \n • Safety First \n  \n • Day Trips and Overnights \n  \n All adults attending the event (including parents and guardians) must be registered Girl Scouts and have successfully completed a background check. \n  \n   \n  \n Safety Activity Checkpoint Ratios: This event is open to troops and Juliettes with a guardian. We may be required to limit the number of adults required according to Volunteer Essentials ratio on page 5 of the Safety Activity Checkpoints to allow maximum Girl Scout participation. Each troop must have two unrelated female adults in attendance at all times. An additional adult may be added for transportation needs. \n  \n   \n  \n Payment Schedule: A 25% deposit of event fees is due at the time of registration. Payments must be made in full no later than 30 days prior to the event date. Late payments risk cancellation. Auto pay option available at checkout. \n  \n   \n  \n Financial Assistance: In order to remove financial barriers to participation in Girl Scouts, limited funds are available to cover some expenses.
