DESCRIPTION:This Family Jubilee event gives your family the unique opportunity to experience Camp Misty Mountain together for one last time! We are excited to offer this festival-style camping event for your family. Family Jubilee will accept registrations from men, women, girls, boys, and Alumnae Girl Scouts. Of course, you can attend as a “Dad and Daughter or Mom and me” duo. Choose to camp in your own tent, or reserve a room in a cabin, a platform tent for your family, or a screened-in cabin (for an additional fee except for your own tent). \n \n \n Fire rings, shelters, water spigots, picnic tables, pit latrines, and showers are also available. Bring your own traditional camping equipment (portable grill/smoker, propane stove) or go old-school and build a campfire in our fire rings or your portable fire pit brought from home or purchased at the Trading Post to cook your meals. You can purchase firewood and ice from our trading post. \n \n \n There will be traditional camp activities, including general arts and crafts, nature hikes, fishing, leathercrafting, target sports, canoeing, screenprinting, tie-dyeing, and a talent show, all at no additional cost. Pre-registration is required for Horseback Riding activities for an additional fee (see details below) \n \n \n *Since this is a family event, please be aware that not all adults are registered Girl Scouts with a Background check. Each parent/guardian is responsible for supervising his/her own child at the event. \n \n \n Accommodations: \n \n \n Family Cabin Room - $95 per person - Cabins are limited to family members/family pods. 14 cabin/room units are available for each weekend with 4-12 beds in each cabin. Kitchen areas are shared between 2-4 families using the cabins in the unit. You are welcome to bring a grill or camp stove for food prep. There is a shared family room and a shower/bathroom with multiple stalls. \n \n \n Platform Tents - $85 per person—The Platform tents in the Pasture Ridge and Sweet Gum Hollow units are large, walled canvas tents with wooden floors and four cots with mattresses. Within our two tent units, there are 10 platform tents, each with 4 beds. A platform tent is assigned to each family. If you want to be in the same unit as a friend, enter their name in the buddy section when registering. \n \n \n Screened-In Cabin - $90 per person - Magnolia View has six cabins. Magnolia View A has one cabin that sleeps 10, and Magnolia View B has five cabins with four bunk beds each, sleeping 8 people. Magnolia View A has electricity but no heat or air conditioning. This option has more shelter than a platform tent but less than a cabin. You will have access to a shared shower/bathroom with multiple stalls. Hill Top has three screened-in cabins with 8 beds each. A screened-in cabin is assigned for each family. You can request to be in the same unit in the buddy section of the registration. \n \n \n Bring Your Own Tent - $70 per person - Three open fields are dedicated to guests who want to bring their own tent or camper. Choose where you want to stay when you arrive at camp: \n \n \n \n Pear Tree Pasture: A smaller pasture near canoe beach and the archery range. This is a very popular location, just a short bike or walk from activities. \n Open Pasture: The largest of the three fields, where most of our campers pitch tents. \n Lower Pasture: This space is reserved for our larger RVs and anyone with a generator. It is next to the Farmhouse and the farthest from the camp activities area. \n \n \n PLEASE NOTE: We are not a campground and do not have power, water, or sewer hookups for RV’s. Small campers, such as pop-ups and pick-up trucks, are allowed in the lower pasture. If you have a large recreation vehicle or any vehicle with a generator, you will be restricted to Lower Pasture. There are specific time frames for generator use. You may not pitch a tent in a cabin or platform tent unit. \n \n \n \n \n \n Additional Activities - pre-registration required \n \n \n Groom A Pony - This program is designed for Girl Scouts and their siblings who want to spend time with our equine friends but may not want to ride them. You will get a lesson on how and why we groom our horses. It will also give you time to ask your horse questions and get answers from one of our Camp Misty Mountain full-time equine professionals. Cost: $20 per participant. \n \n \n Adult-Led Pony Ride - Girl Scouts and siblings in grades K-12 will love having their parent or accompanying adult lead them, assisted by staff instructors, for a “mini-lesson” in the arena. Participants will be on a lead line. Cost: $40 per participant. \n \n \n Arena Ride - Girl Scouts and their siblings in 4th -12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year can ride around the arena learning how to start, stop, and control their pony. This is for children not yet ready for a horseback riding trail ride, but ready to be off a lead line. Cost: $40 per participant. \n \n \n Trail Ride - Girl Scouts and siblings in 6th - 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year, and adults have the chance to ride together! Participants will take an approximately 45-minute trail ride and experience the magic and beauty of Camp Misty Mountain from a new perspective! More details when you register. Cost: $40 per participant. \n \n \n More Details about the event for arrival preparation - April 2026 Family Jubilee Confirmation \n
