Join us for our second meeting of the Volunteer Book Club, a space to connect, reflect, and explore ideas that can inspire us both personally and as leaders.
This Month’s Selection: The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times by Douglas Abrams and Jane Goodall
Who/Why: Calling bookworms of all ages! Let’s connect, chat, play, and celebrate books! To recognize November as National Family Literacy Month, GSGATL has paired with Junior League of Atlanta to offer a family-friendly book club event. We invite adult readers to join us in discussion of the power of hope as something we enact, not just feel. Families are welcome and encouraged to join! While the adults are in conversation, Junior League volunteers will lead interactive literacy-focused activities for kids. Looking for a book with similar themes that your child could read alongside you? Check out our age-stratified suggestions!
